Certified Sommelier & restaurant consultant
I’m a born entrepreneur and certified sommelier who is passionate about all things food and wine.
I love building businesses and growing the communities around them (usually with a drink in hand). I’ve started businesses that focus on removing pretension and mystery from wine and entertaining, I’ve managed businesses, helping them streamline and grow, and I’ve consulted both for startups and established businesses looking to pivot.
What I love to do
I’ve started and grown two companies; Lois, New York’s first all-tap wine bar & Aida, a snack brand that Saveur called the Best Crackers they’d ever tasted.
At each I spearhead: fundraising and business strategy, design and build-out, launching via a coordinated PR strategy, growing a loyal following, identifying and building strategic partnerships, ongoing management, and how to survive a crisis.

Classes and corporate education
My philosophy about food and wine is ripe (get it) for sharing knowledge through a joyful and casual approach to learning and education. I’ve helped build incredible communities of like-minded imbibers by sharing a lot of info (and even more laughs) through unique and intimate classes, curated events, and corporate workshops.

Writing
Through conversations with my community, I’ve identified common areas of interest (as well as confusion), and then translated my knowledge into fun articles that aim to demystify the world of wine.
I’ve written for places like Thrillist, VinePair and Insidehook, and I was in charge of planning and creating content for The Pantry, Aida’s recipe blog.
